Who runs this site

The Legal Intake Lab is published by The Crow's Signal, a one-person consulting practice operated by Art Nikashin from Kazakhstan. Throughout this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that practice. For any privacy question or request, the address is on About.

What this site collects

Nothing that you type is sent to us. There is no contact form, no newsletter, no account, no comment box and no booking widget on this site. The only form is the search control, which is handled entirely inside your browser: it navigates to a page on this site and filters a list that was already delivered to you. Nothing you type into it reaches a server.

Which pages you visit IS sent to us, by the analytics described below. That is the one thing on this page that changed when analytics was installed, and it is stated here rather than only in the analytics section, because this is the section a reader checks first.

Analytics

This site now loads analytics. The following were detected in its own source at build time: googletagmanager.com, gtag(, dataLayer. This paragraph changed automatically when they were installed, and the specifics of what they collect, how long it is retained and how to opt out have NOT yet been written. Until the sections below are completed, treat this page as incomplete rather than as a full disclosure.

Google Analytics 4 was installed on 2026-08-20, property G-34ZPRL61T0. It was the first third-party request this site had ever made and the first cookie it had ever set.

What it records. Which pages are opened and in what order, roughly where in the world the request came from, the referring site or search engine, and the browser and device type. Google assigns a random identifier to your browser so that repeat visits are counted as one visitor rather than several. That identifier is not a name and this site never links it to one, because this site holds no names.

What it does not record. Nothing you type, because there is nothing here to type into except the search box, which never leaves your browser. Per Google's own documentation, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We do not attempt to identify individual readers and have no means to.

How to refuse it. Block cookies for this domain in your browser, use any content blocker (nearly all block this tag by default), or install Google's own opt-out extension at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Nothing on this site is withheld from readers who do any of these. There is no wall, no prompt and no reduced version of a page.

Retention. How long Google keeps this data is a setting on the property rather than something this page can read from the site's own code. Until it has been confirmed and stated here, treat the retention period as unstated rather than as any particular length.

Server logs

The site is served by Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare keeps standard request logs that may include IP address, user agent, request path and timestamp. Those logs exist for security, abuse prevention and basic operational visibility, they are held under Cloudflare's own terms and retention, and we do not use them to build profiles of visitors. We do not export them, join them to anything, or attempt to identify a reader from them.

What we do not do

• We do not use anything to target you on other platforms.
• We do not embed third-party widgets, fonts, scripts or images. Every font and asset on this site is served from this site.

Links to other sites

This site links out constantly, because tracing a figure to its source means pointing at the source. Following one of those links takes you to a site with its own policies, which apply instead of this one. We do not control what those sites collect and we have no visibility into it.

This site also links to its publisher, The Crow's Signal, which is a separate site with its own privacy policy, its own analytics and its own cookies. Nothing on this page describes that site.

Your rights

Data-protection law gives you rights over information a site holds about you, including access, correction, deletion, portability, and objecting to or restricting its use. Those rights depend on there being information to exercise them over. What exists is the analytics record described above, held by Google and keyed to a random browser identifier rather than to a name, plus the host's request logs. Because we hold no names, we cannot connect a request from you to a row in either, which is a limit on what we can honour rather than a refusal. Clearing this site's cookies breaks the link at your end immediately.

If you write to us, we hold your message and your address for as long as it takes to deal with it. Ask us to delete it and we will.

The version live at this URL is the one that applies. Material changes are reflected in the last-updated date at the top. The analytics section above is generated from the site's own code, so it changes as soon as the code does, which is deliberate: it is the section most likely to go stale.
